Payne (Philadelphia, Pa./Mount Pleasant HS) kept the Commodores in the game in the early going, scoring 16 of LCCC's first 24 points.  Payne was forced to sit in the second half due to foul trouble but re-entered the game with just over a minute remaining and provided a block on the defensive end and a basket.

LCCC started the second half by going on a 15-2 run against the Eagles, building a double digit lead that they were able to maintain through most of the second half.  The closest the Eagles got was narrowing the lead down to four points after a short 7-0 run with ten minutes remaining.  From there, is was LCCC all the way as the Commodores clamped down defensively to subdue the Eagles.

The Commodores will take the next 6 days off until they travel to Hocking College next Saturday for a match up with the 14-0 Hawks. Tip is at 3 p.m.
