Michael Couture was a three sport athlete at Open Door Christian Academy where he graduated in 2023 with a 3.9 GPA. As the captain of the cross Country team he ran varsity for four years, he was a three-time state qualifier, two time All-Ohio and was named the teams MVP. He holds the school record for a 5k race.
Aside from Cross County, he was also a state qualifier for track and holds the 1600m record and was also named the teams MVP. Couture also played basketball for two seasons at Open Door and was named the JV team’s MVP. Academically, he was on the Academic All-Ohio team, was a member of the honor roll and National Honor Society.
Couture loves running because is feeds his competitive nature. His favorite memory running cross country was making All-Ohio his junior year.
He is the son of David and Wendy Couture and studies graphic design at LCCC.
