LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for April 7-13

Caleb Shinsky (Lorain, Ohio/Clearview HS) is the Lorain County Community College SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of April 7-13, 2024.

Shinsky picked up the win for the Lorain County Community College Commodore baseball team by pitching a complete game against Lakeland Community College on Sunday, April 7, 2024.  Shinsky went 7 innings and held the Lakers offense scoreless over the final four frames to get LCCC the 3-2 win.  He struck out four batters and only allowed four hits and one earned run for his first win of the season and his first complete-game victory of his collegiate career.

Shinsky has made eight appearances this season for the Commodores pitching 21.2 innings with 15 strikeouts and a 1-1 record.
