March 21, 2025 - - Four players from the Lorain County Community College basketball teams—Ally Winnen, Abigail Schmitz, Deonte Benejan, and Dennis Pettis Jr.—earned All-Conference honors from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) and All-Region honors from the NJCAA. Winnen was named Player of the Year in the OCCAC after her record-breaking sophomore season with the Commodores.
March 1, 2025 - - The Lorain County Community College women's basketball team battled hard but came up just short in the NJCAA DIII Mid Atlantic District Championship, falling 61-54 to Owens Community College. With the win, Owens secured a trip to the NJCAA DIII National Championship in Rochester, Minnesota.

February 22, 2025 - - The Lorain County Community College women’s basketball team had reason to be optimistic heading into its NJCAA DIII Region 12 Championship showdown with Owens Community College. The Commodores had played the Express close in the regular season—losing both matchups by a combined 10 points—but struggled to keep pace in Saturday’s postseason title game.

February 16, 2025 - - The Lorain County Community College women’s basketball team struggled to find its offensive rhythm, falling to Edison State Community College, 74-52, on Saturday afternoon. The Commodores wrap up the regular season with a 9-17 overall record and a 4-10 mark in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference play in Brandon Lawler’s first season as head coach who rebuilt the women’s hoops program after LCCC did not field a team the previous season.

He maintained his perfect 12-0 round record with victories over Muskegon Community College and Terra State Community College in Tier 1 Premier Series play.
