SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Jan. 18-24

Abi Rhoades (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 18–24, 2026. Rhoades earned the honor following her performance in Lorain County Community College’s Jan. 21 game at Terra State Community College. Starting and playing 25 minutes, she recorded three points, five rebounds, one assist, and one steal while competing on both ends of the floor.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Jan. 11-17

Ike Rowser (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 11–17, 2026. Rowser earned the honor following his performance in Lorain County Community College’s 102–101 road win at Hocking College on Jan. 14. Playing 30 minutes, he scored 19 points on 7-of-20 shooting from the field, connecting on 5-of-15 attempts from three-point range.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Jan. 4-10, 2026

Camrin Lowder (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 4–10, 2026. Lowder earned the honor following a strong all-around performance for the Commodores in their Jan. 10 game at Edison State Community College. Playing 35 minutes, he scored 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field and went 5-of-10 from the free-throw line.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Dec. 28-Jan. 3

Cole Hecei (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 28–Jan. 3, 2025. Hecei earned the honor following his performance against Butler County Community College (PA) on January 3. In seven minutes of action, he scored five points on 2-of-3 shooting from the field, including 1-of-2 from three-point range, his first three pointer of his career with the Commodores.

Jayveon Roe (Euclid, Ohio/Villa Angela-St. Joseph HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 21–27, 2025. Roe earned the honor following his performance against Pennsylvania Highlands Community College on December 22. In 22 minutes of action, he scored 24 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the field and went 2-of-2 from the free-throw line.

Ike Rowser (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 14–20, 2025. Rowser led the Commodores in scoring over two games during the week, averaging 18.5 points while shooting 52.0 percent from the field.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Dec. 7-13

Jayveon Roe (Euclid, Ohio/Villa Angela-St. Joseph HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 7–13, 2025. Roe led the Commodores in scoring over two games during the week, averaging 20.5 points while shooting 63.0 percent from the field.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Nov. 30-Dec. 6

Jerron Warner (Avon, Ohio/Avon HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 30–Dec. 6, 2025. Warner earned a Top-12 finish in the NJCAAE Division I National Playoffs after recording three match victories in the elimination bracket. He opened the tournament with wins over No. 10 seed Dominic Gonzalez of Donnelly College and No. 13 seed Dane Sidel of Highland Community College. In the next round, Warner defeated No. 21 seed Evelyn Towne of Centralia College, 3–2, after trailing 2–1 in the best-of-five series. Warner then faced No. 7 seed Camren Mitchell of Bryant & Stratton. Mitchell won the match 3–0, concluding Warner’s postseason run. Warner finished the event with victories over three seeded opponents and a Top-12 national placement.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Nov. 23-29

Abbey Schmitz (Amherst, Ohio/Firelands HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of November 23–29, 2025. Schmitz delivered two strong performances for the Commodores, averaging 27.0 points and 9.0 rebounds over the week.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Nov. 16-22

Xander Taylor (Elyria, Ohio/Huron HS) has been named the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of November 16–22, 2025. Taylor earned the honor after winning the NJCAAE Hearthstone Division III Opt-In Tournament national championship on November 18, completing an undefeated postseason run. Entering the bracket as the No. 1 seed, he advanced to the title match with a 3–2 semifinal victory over No. 4 seed Rylan Roach of Three Rivers College. In the championship round, Taylor faced teammate and No. 3 seed Veronica Gibson (Sandusky, Ohio/Trinity HS) in an all-LCCC final. He secured the national title with a 3–1 win, finishing the postseason without a match loss.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Nov.9-15

Julian Daniels (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of November 9–15, 2025. Daniels led the Commodores in scoring over two games, beginning with a 28-point performance against Butler County Community College (PA) on November 13. He shot 9-of-14 from the field, including 3-of-4 from three-point range, and added 7-of-9 shooting at the free-throw line. Daniels also recorded four rebounds, six assists, one steal, and three blocks in 24 minutes. On November 15 at Cuyahoga Community College, Daniels scored 18 points on 7-of-16 shooting while making four three-pointers. He added three rebounds, two assists, one block, and one foul in 27 minutes of action.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Nov.2-8

Jared Robinson (Grafton, Ohio/Midview HS) and Franco Gallo (Avon, Ohio/Avon HS) are the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athletes of the Week for the week of November 2-8, 2025. Robinson and Gallo finished 17th and 18th, respectively, at the NJCAA DIII Cross Country National Championships held in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Robinson completed the 8-kilometer course in 28:52.2 to place 17th overall. Gallo followed closely behind with a time of 28:54.9, finishing 18th.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Oct. 26-Nov.1

Abbey Schmitz (Amherst, Ohio/Firelands HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of October 26–November 1, 2025. Schmitz led the Commodores in scoring over two road games to open the 2025–26 season. Against Bay College on October 31, she scored six points with seven rebounds, one assist, and one block. The following day on November 1 at Alpena Community College, posting a game-high 24 points while knocking down three three-pointers and added seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and just one turnover in 42 minutes of action.

Franco Gallo (Avon, Ohio/Avon HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of October 19–25, 2025. The freshman standout continued his impressive debut season by leading the Commodores at the NJCAA Region 12 Division III Championships in Goodells, Michigan. Gallo placed 17th overall, finishing the 8K course in a time of 26:44.81.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for Oct. 12-18

Gabriella Habeck (Huron, Ohio/Edison HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of October 12–18, 2025. The sophomore outside hitter earned Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) Player of the Week honors after leading the Commodores to two wins over Terra State and Clark State. The recognition marks her first of the season and the third of her career.

SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for Oct. 5-11

Xander Taylor (Elyria, Ohio/Huron HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of October 5–11, 2025. The sophomore esports competitor, known by his gamertag Xelron, turned in a dominant performance in Hearthstone competition, going 4–0 in matches on Tuesday, October 7. Taylor dropped only two of the 14 total games he played throughout the night
