SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - Jan. 18-24

Abi Rhoades (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 18–24, 2026.

Rhoades earned the honor following her performance in Lorain County Community College’s Jan. 21 game at Terra State Community College. Starting and playing 25 minutes, she recorded three points, five rebounds, one assist, and one steal while competing on both ends of the floor.

LCCC head coach Brandon Lawler praised Rhoades’ approach to the game and her role within the program, saying, “I applaud Abi's commitment and consistency to our program. She competes with a high level of toughness and leads by example on a daily basis.”

A business major at LCCC, Rhoades is a 2024 graduate of Vermilion High School, where she competed in basketball and soccer. During her prep career, she earned First Team and Second Team All-Lorain County honors, along with Honorable Mention recognition in the North Central District.
