NJCAA Student Athlete Eligibility Information
LCCC offers varsity athletics programs in women's volleyball, women's basketball, women's fastpitch softball, men's basketball, men's baseball, men's & women's cross country, and esports, the latest addition.
The varsity athletics program abides by the rules and regulations adopted by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), National Junior College Athletic Association Esports (NJCAAE), and the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.
Intercollegiate Athletics Requirement Forms - these forms must be completed before the start of the season.
You must:
- have received a high school diploma or GED
- be enrolled and maintain 12 credit hours during semester of participation
- during the second term, be enrolled & have passed 6 credit hours with a minimum 2.0 GPA or better.
- during the second season of participation, have successfully completed and passed 24 credit hours with a 2.0 GPA or better.
- may be additional eligibility requirements depending on the number of full time terms that student has attended college.

NJCAAE (Esports) Student Eligibility Information
You must:
- Be associated and in good standing with LCCC (Full time student can compete at higher levels)
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA
- Be in good standing with the game manufacturer
- Be in good standing with the NJCAAE and Generation Esports
- Full time students need to continue to make progress towards completing their program to participate.

Club Sports Eligibility Information
LCCC club sports provide a diverse recreational and competitive sports opportunity for Lorain County Community College students. Competitive clubs may involve trying out for the club. These clubs compete with other university-sponsored sports teams.
You must be enrolled and maintain six credit hours.

How to Start a Club
Any student, faculty or staff member of Lorain County Community College can start a club. All that is needed is for the individual to bring their idea to the Club Sports Coordinator, Jim Powers. He will set up a meeting to discuss the potential club status. For more information, call Jim Powers at (440)366-7652.

Students participating in LCCC Student Clubs and Organizations are expected to align behavior to the Honor Code and Student Code of Conduct. LCCC also strictly prohibits hazing in any form as prescribed by Ohio Revised Code (Collin’s Law) and LCCC’s Policy II-413 (Anti-Hazing). Student participants and faculty and staff serving as advisors to LCCC Clubs and Organizations will be required to complete a brief, annual Anti-Hazing training accessible in LCCC Connect.
