LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for April 21-27

Robert Rogers (Lorain, Ohio/Clearview HS) is the Lorain County Community College SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of April 21-27, 2024.

Rogers became the first LCCC Esports player to win a national tournament in the Tier 2 National Junior College Athletic Association Esports Playoffs in Mario Kart 8.  Rogers had to win three straight matches to win the Mario Kart crown. He faced elimination in four different races over two matches and won all of them to stay alive. 

In addition, Rogers also came in third place in the 1v1 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament as well.
