Commodores Tie Terra State In Season Finale

The Lorain County Community College baseball team fought Terra State Community College to a 3-3 tie Saturday at Bob Gray's Field of Dreams in Vickery, Ohio.  The game is the final regular season contest for the Commodores as they now head to the NJCAA DIII Region XII Tournament at Sports Force Parks this Wednesday.

The Commodores plated two runs in the first inning with Jaden Nestor-Fox (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion HS) and Mason Shultz (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion HS) scoring on Austin Isenhart's (Elyria, Ohio/Midview HS) single.  Rocky Houston (Grafton, Ohio/Keystone HS) scored in the third after Terra tied the game in the second with a pair of runs.

The Titans would score in the ninth to tie the game at 3-3 before the game ended with both teams deadlocked. 

Caleb Shinsky (Lorain, Ohio/Clearview HS) started for the Commodores and went 6.1 inning allowing just two runs with a strikeout.  Nick Morgan (Grafton, Ohio/Midview HS) came on in relief in the 7^th and struck out four batters against just two hits while allowing just one unearned run.

The Commodore's first opponent in the NJCAA Region XII tournament will be 5^th ranked Owens Community College Wednesday at noon.
