Derek Morta Moves On To NJCAAE Madden Quarterfinals

 November 29, 2023 - - Lorain County Community College Esports continued into the NJCAAE Playoffs Wednesday evening, this time with Madden 24 on the schedule.

LCCC's Derek Morta (Lorain, Ohio/Ohio Virtual Academy) finished the regular season at 11-3 in the Open Series (Tier 3) division and earned a first round bye as the No. 1 seed.  In his first postseason match up against his opponent from Iowa Western Community College, Morta easily earned the victory sweeping his opponent 3-0.

Morta won his first match playing as the Los Angeles Chargers against the Buffalo Bills 30-19, won his second match 36-27 as the Dallas Cowboys against the Los Angeles Chargers, and then finished off his second round win with a 50-17 drubbing of the Buffalo Billsplaying as the Philadelphia Eagles.

Morta is awaiting the results of the No. 8/No. 9 matchup between Dallas College Cedar Valley and Seward County Community College to find out who he will be playing in his next match on December 6, 2023.
