Yahnke Double-Double for Men’s Basketball Not Enough

January 4, 2020 - - Derek Yahnke (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) recorded his first double-double of the season for the Lorain County Community College Men's Basketball Team but it was not nearly enough as Division II Sinclair Community College defeated the Commodores 112-67 in OCCAC play.

Yahnke scored 20 points, pulled in 13 caroms, blocked two shots, and had two assists in the loss. Teammate Jacob Marsh (Elyria) contributed 16 points, four rebounds, dished out four assists, and three steals, while De'Miko Nelson (Cincinnati/DePaul Cristo Rey) added 16 points and grabbed seven boards.

LCCC drops to 3-11 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while Sinclair goes to 9-6 for the season and 1-1 in the OCCAC. The Commodores head to Columbus State for an OCCAC contest at 3 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020.
