LCCC Men’s Basketball Drops Close Contest to Jamestown CC

December 2, 2019 - - Four players finished with double-digit points for the Lorain County Community College Men's Basketball team but the Commodores dropped a close one to Jamestown Community College 101-95. The loss takes LCCC to 2-6 for the season and Jamestown improves to 4-4.

Last week's OCCAC Division III Player of the Week, Jaylen Jenkins (Willoughby/Willoughby South) once again led the team with 22 points and had another outstanding night at the charity stripe on a 9-10 effort.  Jenkins also dished out four assists and pulled in five rebounds.

Jacob Marsh (pictured; Elyria) had 20 points, hitting six from downtown. Alex Wyatt (Brunswick) dropped in 17 points, while Kevin Miller, Jr. (Elyria) rounded out the double-digit scorers with 15. Both Wyatt and Miller had three steals and two assists. Derek Yahnke (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) led LCCC with eight rebounds.

Lorain travels to Wayne County Community College for a game at 4 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019.
