September 5, 2023 - - Lorain County Community College men's and women's club soccer dropped two matches in the sweltering heat to Terra State Community College Tuesday afternoon with the women losing 5-1 and the men falling 6-0 to the Titans.
Scoring for the Commodores early in the first half was Joy Nickel (Bay Village, Ohio/Bay HS). Nickel dribbled the ball into the box and buried it in the back of the net past the keeper to put the Commodores up 1-0 in the first ten minutes of play.
From there, it was all Titans as they built up a 3-1 lead heading into the break and then added two more goals in the second half.
In the men's contest Terra State scored early and often, leading 4-0 before the half.
The men will travel to Cuyahoga Community College for a Wednesday showdown with the Triceratops. Match begins at 4:30 p.m.
