Commodores Baseball Team Partners With Lake Erie Crushers

March 5, 2026 - - The Lorain County Community College baseball team has announced an exciting new partnership with the Lake Erie Crushers, a semi-professional minor league baseball team based in Avon, Ohio.  Beginning with the upcoming 2026 season, the Commodores will use ForeFront Field for 20 games (10 doubleheaders) as well as 10 practices over the course of the season.

February 4, 2026 - - The Lorain County Community College women’s volleyball team will host open gyms throughout the spring for full-time students interested in joining the Commodores for the Fall 2026 season.  Open gyms will be held on Mondays inside the Ewing Activities Center on LCCC’s Elyria Campus from 8–9:30 p.m. and will continue through May.

March 1, 2026 - - The Lorain County Community College baseball team dropped both games of a Saturday road doubleheader at Westmoreland County Community College, falling 16-6 in the opener and 11-3 in Game 2 in their first taste of action in the 2026 season after losing four games last weekend to weather. The Commodores totaled 10 hits and nine runs on the day while drawing 11 walks.
