Rain Cuts Comeback Effort Short In Game 2 Vs Trine University JV

The Lorain County Community College baseball team dropped two games on the road Wednesday in the Hoosier state. They lost to Indiana Tech University's JV squad and were stopped short of a comeback effort in the second game against Trine University's JV due to rain, 4-1.

Mason Schultz (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion HS) and Joey Kulwicki (Grafton, Ohio/Midview HS) both scored for the Commodores in game one.  Jaden Nestor-Fox (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion HS) homered in game two for the Commodores' only run while Austin Isenhart (Elyria, Ohio/Midview HS) went 2-for-2 with an extra base hit before rain cancelled the game.

Cody DeVos (Bay Village, Ohio/Bay HS) pitched game one for the Commodores, striking out two batters.  Rocky Houston (Grafton, Ohio/Keystone HS) started game two and struck out 2 batters before the game was called.  Caleb Shinsky (Lorain, Ohio/Clearview HS) pitched in relief in game one and struck out four batters in 2.2 innings of work.

The Commodores will play their first home games at Sports Force Parks in Sandusky, Ohio this Saturday against Cuyahoga Community College.  First Pitch is at 1 p.m.
