Three Commodores Score In Double Figures In Loss To Miami-Hamilton

January 31, 2024 - - The Lorain County Community College men's basketball team lost to Miami University-Hamilton on Wednesday, 82-32. 

The Commodores (4-17, 1-9) were looking to get the season sweep of the Harriers after defeating them to open the season on November 4, 2023, 62-56, but Miami got off to an early lead and held on to even the season series.

Jayden Maxwell (Chicago, Ill./Buchtel CLC) – 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists

Tavion Pride (Cleveland, Ohio/Huron HS) - 22 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals

Corey Jones Jr. (Lorain, Ohio/Clearview HS) – 10 points, 2 steals

Abdulaziz Sesay (Sierra Leone, Freetown, West Africa/Limount College) – 2 points, 10 rebounds

Recap

Miami (9-10) jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first few minutes of the contest and took a 34-20 lead into the break.  The second half was all Harriers as they built a 40-point lead with 10 minutes left to play.

Next Up

The Commodores travel to Terra State Community College this Friday, February 2, for a makeup game that was originally scheduled for January 20 but was postponed due to weather.  LCCC lost to Terra State on January 17, 2024, 104-85.
