LCCC Men Come Up Short On The Road Against Clark State

January 25, 2025 - - The Lorain County Community College men's basketball team fell to Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio, on Saturday afternoon, losing by a score of 98-93.

LCCC had opportunities late in the game after erasing a nine-point halftime deficit. Toriano Goodwin (Lorain, Ohio/Clearview) tied the game with a free throw at the 5:45 mark and then assisted DJ Smith (Cleveland, Ohio/Rhodes College) less than a minute later, giving the Commodores a two-point lead.

Rashaud Finley (Cleveland, Ohio/Bard HS) delivered an impressive offensive performance with 19 points. He was a threat from beyond the arc, connecting on 3-of-7 three-point attempts, and also contributed 6 assists.

Julius Moon (Lorain, Ohio/Open Door Christian HS) and Vinny Fisher (Akron, Ohio/CVCA) provided critical outside shooting to help stretch the floor. Moon scored 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including three three-pointers, while Fisher added 10 points, shooting 4-of-6 from the field and 2-of-4 from deep.
