September 23, 2015 - The Volleyball Team hosted Owens on Wednesday night with Owens coming in undefeated in conference. Our Commodores had the Express down for the count in both the first and second set yet somehow the Express managed to get back up and win the match in three straight sets (22-25 23-25 17-25).
With this loss against a national ranked team, the team showed they can compete even with 42 unforced errors. On the offensive side, Emily Mandoke led the team in kills with 18 kills and Kady Whitsel had 21 of the team's 33 assists. Whitsel also dug up the Owens' attack 23 times while Maryssa Kellick added 4 kill bocks.
The team travels to Grand Rapids CC this Saturday and Sunday to take on the teams from Michigan.
