Bio

Josephina “Josie” Filice describes herself as a hitter with over a decade of experience playing volleyball between travel, club and Lakewood High School where she graduated in 2022.  As a student at LHS, she excelled in the classroom earning a spot on the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Honor Roll and Student Council.  

As a player for the Lakewood Rangers, she won the Scholar Athlete Award and played a number of positions including passer, RS hitter and OH hitter.  

To Filice, volleyball is an outlet from stress and helps give her schedule structure.  Her fondest memory of playing volleyball was her senior night at Lakewood and her favorite athlete is Jason Kipnis.

2022 Season: Made LCCC debut against Edison State on August 20, 2022 where she played in five sets, had four kills and three digs . . . had first 10+ dig match against Mott Community College
