Volleyball Wins 3-0 At Hocking College To Start 2024 Season

August 24, 2024 - - The Lorain County Community College volleyball team grabbed their first win of the 2024 campaign on Saturday, notching a quick victory over the Hocking College Hawks in three sets (25-6, 25-13, 25-11).

Leading the way for the Commodores was Gabriella Habeck (Huron, Ohio/Edison High School) with 9 kills while Ava Haddix (Amherst, Ohio/Marion L. Steele High School) had 24 assists.

As a team, the Commodores hit .436 and had 26 total service aces (Haddix – 8).

LCCC's next matches will come at the Owens Invitational next Friday in Perrysburg, Ohio where they will play four matches in two days.  Starting Friday, August 30, they will play against Oakland Community College at 11 a.m. and then against Sandhills Community College at 3:15 p.m.  On Saturday, they will play Delta College at 10:45 a.m. and Lansing Community College at 4 p.m.
