Palmer Turns in Top 10 Finish at Wooster Invitational
September 1, 2024 - - The Lorain County Community College cross country season got underway at the Wooster Invitational Friday evening where runners battled not just the rolling hills of the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course, but heat and humidity as well. However, the Commodores still had two runners posting Top-10 and Top-25 finishes after both races were completed. Held at the College of Wooster, LCCC was one of four regional colleges (Oberlin, Wooster, and Baldwin Wallace) competing in the non-scoring race.
Madison Palmer picked up right where she left last season where she reached NJCAA All-American status by turning a season opening time of 17:38 on the 4K course at Wooster, finishing 9th among 37 runners. The 2024 time was just five seconds off her 2023 Wooster Invitational finish of 17:33.
