SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for Nov. 17-23

Deonte Benejan (Queens, N.Y./Lorain HS) is the Lorain County Community College SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 17-23, 2024.

Benejan helped the Commodores get their first win of the 2024-25 season on Nov. 20, 2024 against Bryant & Stratton College.  Before getting injured late in the second half, Benejan scored 23 points and had seven assists against two turnovers against the Bobcats.  Two days later, he dropped another 20-point performance against the Wayne County Community College Wildcats in Detroit, Mich.

Benejan is fourth in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference in points per game with 20.7.
