SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for Jan. 26-Feb. 1

Dennis Pettis Jr. (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) is the Lorain County Community College SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of January 26-February 1, 2025.

Pettis Jr. delivered back-to-back strong performances, averaging 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists over the two-game stretch.

On January 29, in a 106-99 loss against Owens Community College, Pettis scored 26 points while shooting 46.7% from the field (7-15) and 71.4% from the free-throw line (10-14). He also added 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal in 34 minutes of action.

He followed that effort with another solid performance on February 1, 2025 against Hocking College. In 38 minutes, he posted 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals.
