Commodores Fall To Community Christian College Lions In Detroit

November 25, 2023 - - The Lorain County Community College men's basketball team fell to Community Christian College in Detroit, Mich. on Saturday by a score of 105-90.  LCCC slides to 2-5 on the season while the Lions improve to 4-4.

• Patrick Russell (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius HS) – 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block

Recap

The Commodores went into the half trailing the Lions by one point, 37-36.  The Lions outscored the Commodores by 14 points in the second half to win by 15 points.

• Four players scored in double figures for the Commodores for the second straight game
• LCCC shot 50% from the field
• Jayden Maxwell had his third game of hitting multiple 3PT baskets
• Willie Powell, Jr. had his second game in a row of scoring 27+ points and hitting 10+ FGs

The Commodores return home on November 29 to begin Ohio Community College Athletic Conference play as they take on the Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats inside the Ewing Activities Center Gymnasium.  The Commodores split the season series with the Bobcats during the 2022-23 season.
