Pride, Coleman, and Sesay Hit Career Marks In Loss To Edison

January 27, 2024 - - The Lorain County Community College men's basketball team fell to Edison State Community College, 91-65, coming after a 10-day layoff due to the Commodores previous two games getting postponed.

Tiyorne Coleman (New York City, N.Y./Bunnell HS) – 18 points, 9 rebounds

Abdulaziz Sesay (Freetown, Sierra Leon, West Africa/Limount College)- 15 rebounds, 6 points

Recap

 Tiyorne Coleman scored LCCC's first 11 points while Tavion Pride chipped in nine first half points.  LCCC's last lead came with 13 minutes remaining in the first half at 11-10.  Edison took a 41-25 lead into the break.

Notes

  • Coleman's 18 points are a career-high for the freshman and his fourth double digit scoring effort
  • Pride had his first career 30-point game, his 12 FGs made are a career-high
  • Sesay had his third 10+ rebound performance of the season, both of his 11 defensive and 15 total rebounds are a career-highs

LCCC hosts Miami University-Hamilton inside the Ewing Activities Center Gymnasium on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 6 p.m. LCCC defeated the Harriers in their first game of the season on November 4, 2024, 62-56. 

Postponed Games Rescheduled

The Commodores previous two games (Jan. 20 at Terra State CC and Jan. 24 at Bryant & Stratton) that were postponed have been rescheduled:  LCCC will travel to Terra State on February 2, 2024 while the Bryant & Stratton game has been pushed back to February 21, 2024.  Both games start at 7 p.m.
