Commodores Fall To Butler County on the Road 92-80

January 4, 2025 - - The Lorain County Community College men's basketball team fell to Butler County Community College (3-6) on the road Saturday afternoon by a final score of 92-80.

A trio of Commodores scored in double figures, led by Deonte Benejan (Queens, N.Y./Lorain HS), who tallied 19 points. Dennis Pettis Jr. (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) contributed 18 points and six rebounds while making a significant impact defensively with five steals and two blocks.

Rashaud Finley (Cleveland, Ohio/Bard HS) added 14 points on an efficient 4-of-5 shooting and grabbed three rebounds.

Vinny Fisher (Akron, Ohio/CVCA) scored a season-high eight points, going a perfect 3-for-3 from the field.

Next Up:

The Commodores (1-15) return to the Ewing Activities Center Gymnasium tomorrow, Sunday, January 5, 2025, for a 2 p.m. rematch against the Community College of Allegheny County. LCCC previously lost to CCAC 103-90 on November 5, 2024.
