
LCCC Volleyball Falls On The Road To Owens Community College
September 4, 2024 - - The Lorain County Community College women's volleyball team fell to NJCAA No. 3 (DIII) Owens Community College on Wednesday in straight sets. Owens improved to 9-4 with a 1-0 record in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference play while the Commodores slipped to 2-4 and 1-1 in the OCCAC.

The Express wasted no time in the first set as they rushed out to a 10-1 lead which proved useful when the Commodores tried to mount a comeback with four straight points until the Express ended the set with back-to-back points to win 25-19.
Both squads battled back and forth, trading points until the Express began to pull away midway through the second set. Despite the deficit, LCCC tried again to stage a comeback with four straight points but Owens prevailed 25-19.
The third set was all Owens as they cruised to a 25-15 victory despite the Commodores hitting their best in the match at .200.
