Recap:

The Commodores may have come into the match a little overconfident against the Hawks (0-10, 0-7) who came in playing inspired volleyball still looking for their first win of the season.  LCCC was playing without Gabriella Habeck, one of their main offensive threats and only hit .179 as a team.

Both teams played even with each other throughout the first set until it looked as though Hocking was starting to take control with a 19-16 lead and forced a timeout by LCCC. Coming out of the timeout the Commodores scored three straight to tie, but Hocking used a run of their own to take a 22-20 lead.  To finish the game, LCCC went on a 5-1 run started by a kill from Beck and then a block by Todd.

The second set saw the Commodores regain their focus and score the first five points which started with back-to-back kills from Todd. The lead ballooned to 11-3 and Hocking called a timeout. The Commodores kept the momentum and cruised to a 25-11 win.  They hit their best of the match in the second set with .281

LCCC never trailed in the final set, but the Hawks stayed close, trailing only by a few points until the Commodores used a Beck kill and Grobolsek ace to start a 4-point run to take a 20-14 lead, eventually winning 25-19.
