October 27, 2024 - - The Commodores had a bumpy end to the 2024 regular season as they fell to the Clark State College Eagles in both matches they played on Saturday. The second match was originally scheduled for September 21 at Clark State but was rescheduled for Saturday in Elyria when the Springfield campus closed for a short period in September.
The Commodores finish the season with a 12-8 overall record for the season and an 8-4 record in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference competition.
After falling in four sets to Clark in the morning contest, LCCC was in a position to split the day's matches but squandered a 2-0 lead in the afternoon match as the Eagles prevailed.
Isabella Beck and Gabriella Habeck both turned in double-digit kills and digs in both matches. Beck combined with 28 kills and 26 digs while Habeck combined for 26 kills and 25 digs.
The Commodores combined for 23 service aces and 29 blocks.

With the regular season wrapped up, the Commodores' focus turns to the National Junior College Athletics Association Region 12 DIII Championship on the campus of Owens Community College on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024. The No. 2 Commodores will face No. 3 Delta Community College in the opening round starting at 4 p.m. LCCC defeated the Pioneers on August 31, 2024 in four sets to earn the No. 2 seed in the tournament.
