
Madison Palmer Finishes 4th At NJCAA DIII Cross Country Championships
November 9, 2024 - - The Lorain County Community College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Championship meet in Mechanicsville, Va. on Saturday, November 9th, 2024.
Madison Palmer (Sheffield Village, Ohio/Brookside HS) capped off her tremendous LCCC career finishing in 4th place overall with a time of 20:04 to earn first team All-American honors for the second consecutive year. Palmer's fourth place finish ties Hannah Cook (2012) for the highest finish ever for a Lorain County Community College runner at the national championship meet.
Isabella Morales (Amherst, Ohio/Vermilion HS) also ran for the Commodores, finishing the 5K distance in a personal best 25:02, good for 63rd place out of 90 runners.

The LCCC men's cross country team finished 13th overall. Michael Couture (Elyria, Ohio/Open Door Christian HS) led the way, finishing 17th overall out of 134 runners in the 8K race with a time of 27:51. Couture's finish will secure him NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association All-American honors for the 2024 season.
